“Fortissimo”
a poem sung and performed with an acoustic guitar
by ben yosaf aperitif
Art clay virtue earth
In song poetic meandering light-wind of sounds
In people hearts beat in chords and rhyme
According to the way up to the loudest refrains
Through air she flies if she feels
An angel of lily-feathers and beatitude
A snowman once melted once winter a’morrow
Then the spring came and everyone felt a cloud fall
And the flowers grew and he bought her a book
Then they laughed and ate good poetic verse
Entropy and Still-life.mp3 by ben yosaf aperitif
"Entropy and Still-life"
a poem sung and performed with an acoustic guitar
by ben yosaf aperitif
we fall in line--
at once we are chompin' at the bit,
seeing the interconnection, &
the warped ways around in it.
and in our hits and photographs,
the song hits just right.
we've got the love of entropy
the dazzling way of the stage
and a crowd that feels the harmony of the luminosity
of the right page
we are in a cylindrical way of seeing through the wishing well
we are in stereo-still motion,
of the way around the life of everything
we come to see in time
we've got entropy and the love of entropy
(the dazzling crowd on the stage)
the way of a dazzling stage
and a crowd that feels the luminosity
(of the movie we're on),
the right page.
Strawberry Seed.mp3 by ben yosaf aperitif
"Strawberry Seed"
a poem sung and performed with an acoustic guitar
by ben yosaf aperitif
The way in which we got the glen
Is we have the way in which we are kids
A punk rock band of a special grade \
The ones that have got the sense and made,
We have got a part that sounds so well
And is so together in hearts of lit up shining wreath
The song that comes and got’s the buzz
The lit-up electric guitar of a perfect flowing strawberry seed,
We have the seeds all connected
All the music is in perfect heaven
We got the chorus it sounds so loud
All the people singing, keep singing now,
We have our hands clapping
We have our feet at the foot of the beat
We are singing loud the song that has got
A beautiful patch of strawberry
We have our hands all together
We are singing the song and singing out
We are having a good time all together
We have sung the chorus well
We have a good time when we are young
We have a good time but we don’t know after twenty
We have a good time and we’re a punk rock band
We have a good song let it be in your head later
We have a good time all of us
We have a good time as we sing the verses
We have a good time as we sing the melodies
We have a good time let’s sing the chorus, of strawberry sing along, please
We are the Tennessee Hustlers
We are the one and only Tennessee Hustlers
We have got the hustle in Tennessee
We have got the hustle of some fine strawberries
Enjoy your entrance into the

"Hunting Game Theory"
a short story
by ben yosaf aperitif
It was a chilly, windy and vaporous morning, the shrill-bit of fog gracing the atmosphere, as the two brothers padded their loaded rifles over their shoulders. One is able to store venison the whole season long. In clouded bits of bark and vine the vigorous trees around Pete and Phil hung in the air, ivy patterned in thin perception. The top of the trees cooed and breathed under the ambling clouds, as the bullet blew on by.
-- The aim was bulls-eye, the wry pocket now full, cue right to left-corner, it was a riotous thing, you just squeaking and squelching that fresh buck, Phil pattered, we have game for the long forest-winter, suffice it to say, the air is caught in scouted diminuendo of the precious life we took, the willow heights, the heights in our eyes, the heights we live by.
Pete spoke:
-- I am wildly and astronomically displaced for Christmas, the ornaments we have in every color, spinning madly, spinning in noble processions, in a faint glimmer of the New Year drawing near, in touch of song, in still-frame of a late afternoon dragging on too soon as the sun and light appear in the faded weight of hay-skinned reindeer; tell me, will the spin last on more, the framework of the wind be the heart-felt dissipating of today catching tomorrow?
-- I know the first-off; the earth is wild; endless pigments of carrying on arrays; we will have a good meal that will carry on for days.
-- I hope I agree with you, Phil, the venison grit and bone just needs to be salty.
It was a long winter and the brothers convened in the cabin with the gas heater and propane stove and log-table keeping them warm, Phil resting on a hammock, Pete an air-mattress. There they celebrated the winter and the days ahead.
It was a mild Spring around the turn of the year where they practiced quilting and standing on ghosts.
